  Richard William Guenther (1845-1913) — also known as Richard W. Guenther — of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wis. Born in Potsdam, Prussia (now Germany), November 30, 1845. Republican. Druggist; Wisconsin state treasurer, 1878-82; U.S. Representative from Wisconsin, 1881-89 (6th District 1881-87, 2nd District 1887-89); U.S. Consul General in Mexico City, 1890-93; Frankfort, 1898-1910; Cape Town, 1910-13, died in office 1913. Died in Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wis., April 5, 1913 (age 67 years, 126 days). Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wis.

S. Percy Hooker Samuel Percy Hooker (b. 1860) — also known as S. Percy Hooker — of Le Roy, Genesee County, N.Y. Born in Black Earth, Dane County, Wis., December 5, 1860. Republican. Medicine maker; justice of the peace; member of New York state assembly from Genesee County, 1902-06; member of New York state senate 44th District, 1907-08. Member, Freemasons. Pharmacist; mayor of Minneapolis, Minn., 1913-17. Died March 4, 1926 (age 66 years, 138 days). Interment at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.

Pharmacist; served in the U.S. Army during World War I; member of Wisconsin state assembly from Burnett and Washburn counties; elected 1948, 1950; elected unopposed 1952; member of Wisconsin state senate 23rd District; elected 1956; defeated, 1958; elected 1962; delegate to Republican National Convention from Wisconsin, 1964. Died in November, 1983 (age 89 years, 0 days). Burial location unknown.
  Oscar Rennebohm (1889-1968) — of Madison, Dane County, Wis. Born near Leeds, Columbia County, Wis., May 25, 1889. Republican. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War I; druggist; dairy farmer; Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, 1945-49; Governor of Wisconsin, 1947-51. Lutheran. Died October 15, 1968 (age 79 years, 143 days). Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, Wis.

  Christian Widule (1845-1916) — of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wis. Born in Germany, July 19, 1845. Republican. Druggist; member of Wisconsin state assembly, 1879; member of Wisconsin state senate, 1887-89. Suffered a stroke while at work as assistant postmaster of Milwaukee, and died in the post office, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wis., October 9, 1916 (age 71 years, 82 days). Interment at Union Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wis.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
