Died in Johannesburg, South Africa, December 20, 1917 (age 58 years, 309 days). Burial location unknown.   Relatives: Son of Patrick Bray and Catherine (Hughes) Bray; married 1915 to Winifred Mabel Crabbe.   Lyman Rufus Casey (1837-1914) — of Detroit, Wayne County, Mich.; Jamestown, Stutsman County, N.Dak. Born in York, Livingston County, N.Y., May 6, 1837. Republican. Merchant; manufacturer; U.S. Senator from North Dakota, 1889-93. Died in Washington, D.C., January 26, 1914 (age 76 years, 265 days). Interment at Green Mount Cemetery, Baltimore, Md.   Relatives: Son of Lyman Casey and Annie M. Casey; married 1861 to Harriet M. Tyler (1843-1923) — of Owatonna, Steele County, Minn.; Fargo, Cass County, N.Dak. Born in Damascus, Wayne County, Pa., March 22, 1843. Served in the Union Army during the Civil War; civil engineer; merchant; banker; mayor of Fargo, N.Dak., 1876-77; member of North Dakota state house of representatives, 1889, 1895-96. Member, Freemasons; Shriners. Died, in the Metropole Hotel, Fargo, Cass County, N.Dak., August 24, 1923 (age 80 years, 155 days). Interment at Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan, Wis.   Relatives: Married to Clara Estella Barnes.   Woodford Allen Yerxa (1856-1935) — also known as Woodford A. Yerxa — of Fargo, Cass County, Dakota Territory (now N.Dak.); Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minn.; Colusa, Colusa County, Calif. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, 1856. Merchant; mayor of Fargo, N.Dak., 1883-85. Died in Colusa, Colusa County, Calif., February 10, 1935 (age about 78 years). Burial location unknown.

	The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
