Protestant. Puerto Rican ancestry. Member, Beta Gamma Sigma. First person of Puerto Rican birth to have a vote in the U.S. Congress. Died in Manhattan, New York County, N.Y., December 3, 2014 (age 85 years, 104 days). Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
