Syrian ancestry. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., July 20, 2014 (age 91 years, 150 days). Interment at River View Cemetery, Portland, Ore.
  Relatives: Son of George Atiyeh; married 1964 to Dolores Hewitt.

Back Hin % Moy Moy Back Hin (1848-1935) — also known as Charley Twin Wo — of Portland, Multnomah County, Ore. Born in China, February 8, 1848. Merchant; importer and exporter; Honorary Consul for China in Portland, Ore., 1906-35. Chinese ancestry. One of the first Asian millionaires in the United States. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., December 15, 1935 (age 87 years, 310 days). Interment at River View Cemetery, Portland, Ore.

  Henry Rothschild (1863-1938) — of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Wash. Born in Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Wash., 1863. Consular Agent for France in Port Townsend, Wash., 1886-95; shipbroker; stevedoring business; lumber exporter. German ancestry. Member, Elks. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., May 16, 1938 (age about 74 years). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Son of David Charles Henry Rothschild and Doretta (Hartung) Rothschild.
  Francis Aaron Spencer (1865-1936) — also known as Frank A. Spencer — of Portland, Multnomah County, Ore. Born in San Francisco, Calif., January 24, 1865. Democrat. Commission merchant; importer; Consul for Mexico in Portland, Ore., 1895-1914; wholesale grocery manager; administrator, Oregon Liquor Control Commission, 1935; candidate for Presidential Elector for Oregon. Jumped from the high Vista Avenue Viaduct, and fell hundreds of feet to his death amid traffic on Canyon Road, in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., December 22, 1936 (age 71 years, 333 days). His suicide note was quoted in news reports as follows: "Frankly, the pace has been too fast for me, and I cannot convince myself that I can make a comeback.". Interment at River View Cemetery, Portland, Ore.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
