Died, from coronary thrombosis, in Romney, Hampshire County, W.Va., June 28, 1957 (age 81 years, 201 days). Interment at Indian Mound Cemetery, Romney, W.Va.
  Relatives: Son of Margaret Frances (Rudolph) Kump (1840-1926) and Benjamin Franklin Kump (1841-1915); brother of Herman Guy Kump; married to Mary Elizabeth Zimmerman (1903-1994); uncle of Cyrus Scott Kump (1908-1964).

  Herman Guy Kump (1877-1962) — also known as H. G. Kump — of Elkins, Randolph County, W.Va. Born in Capon Springs, Hampshire County, W.Va., October 31, 1877. Democrat. Lawyer; farmer; president, Citizens National Bank of Elkins; Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney, 1909-16; served in the U.S. Army during World War I; delegate to Democratic National Convention from West Virginia, 1920; mayor of Elkins, W.Va., 1922-23; circuit judge in West Virginia for the 20th Judicial Circuit, 1929-32; Governor of West Virginia, 1933-37; candidate in primary for U.S. Senator from West Virginia, 1940. Presbyterian. Member, American Bar Association; Phi Delta Theta; Odd Fellows; Elks; American Legion; Sons of Confederate Veterans; Rotary. Died February 14, 1962 (age 84 years, 106 days). Burial location unknown.

  Cyrus Scott Kump (1908-1964) — also known as Cyrus S. Kump — of Elkins, Randolph County, W.Va. Born in Elkins, Randolph County, W.Va., October 26, 1908. Democrat. Lawyer; bank director; served in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II; chair of Randolph County Democratic Party, 1949-50; alternate delegate to Democratic National Convention from West Virginia, 1952; candidate in primary for Governor of West Virginia, 1952; candidate in primary for U.S. Representative from West Virginia 2nd District, 1956. Presbyterian. Member, American Legion; Elks; Rotary. Died, from suffocation caused by angioedema, in a car en route to a hospital, in Elkins, Randolph County, W.Va., February 25, 1964 (age 55 years, 122 days). Interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Elkins, W.Va.
  Relatives: Son of Herman Guy Kump (1877-1962) and Edna (Scott) Kump (died 1957); married, September 6, 1933, to Hazel Vorus Turner; nephew of Garnett Kerr Kump.

Member, Daughters of the American Revolution; United Daughters of the Confederacy; American Association of University Women. Died, in Elkins Regional Convalescent Center, Elkins, Randolph County, W.Va., March 14, 2002 (age 87 years, 249 days). Interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Elkins, W.Va.
  Relatives: Daughter of William Henry Turner, Jr. (1879-1962) and Hazel Netelle (Vorus) Turner (1886-1952); married, September 6, 1933, to Cyrus Scott Kump (1908-1964).
