Died in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, January 9, 1904 (age 75 years, 272 days). Interment at Fountain Cemetery.

Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Ohio, 1876; U.S. Representative from Ohio, 1883-91 (5th District 1883-85, 7th District 1885-87, 5th District 1887-91). Author of Seney's Ohio Code. Died June 11, 1905 (age 73 years, 13 days). Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.

      James Albert Norton (1843-1912) — also known as James A. Norton — of Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. Born in Ohio, November 11, 1843. Democrat. Member of Ohio state house of representatives, 1878-79; U.S. Representative from Ohio 13th District, 1897-1903; defeated, 1902. Died July 24, 1912 (age 68 years, 256 days). Entombed in mausoleum at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Died, from pneumonia, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, April 21, 1905 (age 72 years, 34 days). Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.
      Relatives: Son of John Armstrong and Isabella (McKaig) Armstrong; married, November 10, 1857, to Sarah Virginia Hedges.

      Otis Taft Locke (1842-1916) — also known as O. T. Locke — of Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. Born in Cortland County, N.Y., February 27, 1842. Republican. Newspaper editor and publisher; delegate to Republican National Convention from Ohio, 1868; postmaster at Tiffin, Ohio, 1901. Member, Freemasons. Died in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio, October 1, 1916 (age 74 years, 217 days). Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.
      Relatives: Son of Nathaniel B. Locke and Philimedia (Taft) Locke; half-brother of David Ross Locke; married 1866 to Maria C. Porch; third cousin twice removed of John Locke; fourth cousin once removed of Charles Locke.

    The Political Graveyard

    The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
     
      The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
