  William Alexander LeBaron (1826-1902) — also known as William A. LeBaron — of Mobile, Mobile County, Ala. Born in Pensacola, Escambia County, Fla., November 7, 1826. Colonel in the Confederate Army during the Civil War; commission merchant; Consul for Nicaragua in Mobile, Ala., 1889-96; Vice-Consul for Mexico in Mobile, Ala., 1890-1902; Honorary Vice-Consul for Spain in Mobile, Ala., 1901; Consul for Colombia in Mobile, Ala., 1901-02. French ancestry. Died in Mobile, Mobile County, Ala., February 12, 1902 (age 75 years, 97 days). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Son of Margaret Ann (McVoy) LeBaron and Charles LeBaron; married, July 11, 1848, to Eliza Josephine Robb; father of Mary Leonora LeBaron (who married Hannis Taylor) and Leonard DeCantlaine LeBaron.
  Political family: LeBaron-Taylor family of Mobile, Alabama.
  Hannis Taylor (1851-1922) — of Alabama. Born in New Bern, Craven County, N.C., September 21, 1851. Lawyer; U.S. Minister to Spain, 1893-97. Author of a biography of Cicero and numerous other books. Died in Washington, D.C., December 26, 1922 (age 71 years, 96 days). Originally entombed at Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, D.C.; reinterment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md.
  Relatives: Son of Richard Nixon Taylor and Susan (Stevenson) Taylor; brother of Richard Vipon Taylor; married, May 8, 1878, to Mary Leonora LeBaron (daughter of William Alexander LeBaron; sister of Leonard DeCantlaine LeBaron; granddaughter of Charles LeBaron).
  Political family: LeBaron-Taylor family of Mobile, Alabama.
  The World War II Liberty ship SS Hannis Taylor (built 1943 at Wilmington, North Carolina; scrapped 1972) was named for him.

  Richard Vipon Taylor (1859-1939) — also known as Richard V. Taylor — of Mobile, Mobile County, Ala. Born in New Bern, Craven County, N.C., August 11, 1859. Vice-president and general manager, Mobile & Ohio Railroad; headed federalized railroads in three states during World War I; mayor of Mobile, Ala., 1922-24, 1933-34, 1936-37; member, Interstate Commerce Commission, 1926-29. Baptist. Died in Point Clear, Baldwin County, Ala., December 22, 1939 (age 80 years, 133 days). Interment at Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile, Ala.
  Relatives: Son of Richard Nixon Taylor and Susan (Stevenson) Taylor; brother of Hannis Taylor; married, August 10, 1882, to Helen Billingsley Buck.

Consul for Colombia in Mobile, Ala., 1902-03; Vice-Consul for Mexico in Mobile, Ala., 1902-03. Died in Mobile, Mobile County, Ala., April 14, 1932 (age 63 years, 117 days). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Son of William Alexander LeBaron and Eliza Josephine (Robb) LeBaron; brother of Mary Leonora LeBaron (who married Hannis Taylor); married 1898 to Alphonsine Murphy; grandson of Charles LeBaron.

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
