Colonel in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War; Delegate to Continental Congress from Georgia, 1785; delegate to Georgia convention to ratify U.S. constitution, 1788; mayor of Savannah, Ga., 1792-93; U.S. Postmaster General, 1795-1801. Member, Freemasons. Died in Savannah, Chatham County, Ga., November 17, 1815 (age 64 years, 112 days). Interment at Colonial Park Cemetery, Savannah, Ga.
  Relatives: Son of James Habersham (1712-1775) and Mary (Bolton) Habersham (1724-1763); brother of John Habersham (1754-1799); married to Isabella Rae; uncle of Richard Wylly Habersham.

Major in Continental Army during the Revolutionary War; Delegate to Continental Congress from Georgia, 1785; U.S. Collector of Customs, 1789-99; died in office 1799. Member, Society of the Cincinnati. Died near Savannah, Chatham County, Ga., December 17, 1799 (age 44 years, 359 days). Interment at Colonial Park Cemetery, Savannah, Ga.

  Richard Wylly Habersham (1786-1842) — also known as Richard W. Habersham — of Clarkesville, Habersham County, Ga. Born in Savannah, Chatham County, Ga., December, 1786. U.S. Attorney for Georgia, 1819-27; Georgia state attorney general, 1830; U.S. Representative from Georgia at-large, 1839-42; died in office 1842. Died in Clarkesville, Habersham County, Ga., December 2, 1842 (age about 56 years). Interment at Old Clarkesville Cemetery, Clarkesville, Ga.; cenotaph at Congressional Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
  Relatives: Son of James Habersham (1745-1799) and Esther Rebecca (Wylly) Habersham (1754-1808); married, May 18, 1808, to Sarah Hazzard Elliott (c.1792-1854); nephew of Joseph Habersham and John Habersham (1754-1799).
