  Relatives: Son of John Brisbin (1847-1931) and Agnes (Caulfield) Brisbin; father of Willsie Ernest Brisbin; second cousin twice removed of John Brisbin (1818-1880).

  Samuel D. Kendrick (1845-1917) — of Glens Falls, Warren County, N.Y. Born in Wolcott, Lamoille County, Vt., April 11, 1845. Democrat. Druggist; lumber business; mayor of Glens Falls, N.Y., 1910-11. Died August 21, 1917 (age 72 years, 132 days). Burial location unknown.
  Clarence A. Luce (1847-1925) — of Republican City, Harlan County, Neb. Born in Lamoille County, Vt., May 27, 1847. Republican. Druggist; delegate to Republican National Convention from Nebraska, 1912. Died in McGregor, Clayton County, Iowa, December 30, 1925 (age 78 years, 217 days). Burial location unknown.

  Carmi L. Marsh (b. 1842) — of Franklin, Franklin County, Vt.; Enosburg, Franklin County, Vt. Born in Franklin, Franklin County, Vt., August 4, 1842. Republican. Served in the Union Army during the Civil War; farmer; patent medicine manufacturer; member of Vermont state house of representatives from Franklin, 1878; member of Vermont state senate from Franklin County, 1886. Burial location unknown.
  Minos McRobert (1804-1884) — of Mason, Ingham County, Mich. Born in Springfield, Windsor County, Vt., February 14, 1804. Democrat. Physician; druggist; Ingham County Register of Deeds, 1838-40; banker; village president of Mason, Michigan, 1865-66, 1871-72; candidate for mayor of Mason, Mich., 1880. Died in Mason, Ingham County, Mich., October 5, 1884 (age 80 years, 234 days). Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason, Mich.
  Relatives: Son of William McRobert and Lydia (Safford) McRobert; married 1833 to Lydia Ladue; married 1841 to Nancy Abbott.

George W. Merck George W. Merck (1894-1957) — of West Orange, Essex County, N.J.; Rupert, Bennington County, Vt. Born in New York, New York County, N.Y., March 29, 1894. Republican. Chemist; president (1925-49) and chairman (1949-57), Merck & Co., pharmaceutical makers; delegate to New Jersey convention to ratify 21st amendment at-large; elected 1933; delegate to Republican National Convention from New Jersey, 1948; alternate delegate to Republican National Convention from Vermont, 1956. Suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, and died the next day, in Orange Memorial Hospital, Orange, Essex County, N.J., November 9, 1957 (age 63 years, 225 days). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Son of George Merck and Friedrike (Schenck) Merck; married, September 22, 1917, to Josephine Carey Wall; married 1926 to Serena Stevens.

Druggist; delegate to Republican National Convention from Vermont, 1912. Congregationalist. Member, Odd Fellows. Died in Vergennes, Addison County, Vt., September 4, 1936 (age 65 years, 59 days). Interment at Prospect Cemetery, Vergennes, Vt.

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
