  Thomas D. Hamilton Jr. (c.1930-1994) — also known as Tom Hamilton — of Chula Vista, San Diego County, Calif. Born in Pecos, Reeves County, Tex., about 1930. Pharmacist; mayor of Chula Vista, Calif., 1970-74. Methodist. Died, of diabetes and strokes, at Sharp Medical Center, Chula Vista, San Diego County, Calif., March 26, 1994 (age about 64 years). Interment at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, Calif.
  Edward Albert Johnson (1852-1937) — of Corsicana, Navarro County, Tex. Born in 1852. Druggist; mayor of Corsicana, Tex., 1905-09. Died in 1937 (age about 85 years). Burial location unknown.
Paul Margraves Paul Murry Margraves (1905-1956) — also known as Paul Margraves — of Paris, Lamar County, Tex. Born in Petty, Lamar County, Tex., November 5, 1905. Druggist; served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; candidate for mayor of Paris, Tex., 1946. Died in Paris, Lamar County, Tex., November 4, 1956 (age 50 years, 365 days). Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Paris, Tex.
  Relatives: Son of E. M. 'Dick' Margraves and Annie Mae (Roden) Margraves; married to Elizabeth M. Williams.

President, Pepsin Syrup Company (patent medicine); vice-president, Moore State Bank; mayor of Monticello, Ill., 1901-03; University of Illinois trustee; elected 1908; U.S. Representative from Illinois 19th District, 1921-25; delegate to Republican National Convention from Illinois, 1924, 1932; member of Republican National Committee from Illinois, 1925. Universalist. Member, Freemasons; Knights of Pythias; Elks. Died in San Antonio, Bexar County, Tex., August 15, 1945 (age 75 years, 319 days). Interment at Monticello Cemetery, Monticello, Ill.

  William C. Shrader (1893-1967) — also known as Bill Shrader — of Corinth, Denton County, Tex. Born in Rock Hill, Collin County, Tex., December 26, 1893. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War I; pharmacist; mayor of Corinth, Tex., 1960-61. Died June 16, 1967 (age 73 years, 172 days). Interment at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Tex.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
