  Deuel County, S.Dak. is named for him.
  Jacob George Kleinsasser (1887-1965) — also known as Jacob G. Kleinsasser — of Bowdon, Wells County, N.Dak.; Davenport, Scott County, Iowa; Tyndall, Bon Homme County, S.Dak. Born in Hutchinson County, S.Dak., April 14, 1887. Democrat. Physician; member of South Dakota state house of representatives 4th District, 1933-34. German ancestry. Died in 1965 (age about 78 years). Interment at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Tex.
  Relatives: Son of Joseph J. Kleinsasser and Susana J. (Waldner) Kleinsasser; married, July 9, 1911, to Anna June Wipf.

  Samuel G. Nagel (1901-1963) — of Edgeley, LaMoure County, N.Dak. Born in Tripp, Hutchinson County, S.Dak., January 14, 1901. Democrat. Retail liquor dealer; mayor of Edgeley, N.D.; delegate to Democratic National Convention from North Dakota, 1944 (member, Credentials Committee). Catholic. Volga German ancestry. Member, Knights of Columbus; Lions. Died in Rochester, Olmsted County, Minn., October 11, 1963 (age 62 years, 270 days). Interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, N.Dak.
  Relatives: Son of George Nagel and Katharina (Flechtner) Nagel; married, September 24, 1924, to Mary J. Conlon.

  Reinhold J. Sailer (1902-1984) — also known as R. J. Sailer — of Hazen, Mercer County, N.Dak.; Bismarck, Burleigh County, N.Dak. Born in Mannhaven, Mercer County, N.Dak., April 26, 1902. Republican. Delegate to Republican National Convention from North Dakota, 1948. Lutheran. Volga German ancestry. Member, Freemasons; Order of the Eastern Star. Died in a hospital at Bismarck, Burleigh County, N.Dak., July 19, 1984 (age 82 years, 84 days). Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck, N.Dak.
  Relatives: Son of Adam Sailer and Jacobina (Benz) Sailer; married 1941 to Alma Rockne; married 1969 to Elsie (Gebert) Haney.

The Political Graveyard

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 320,919 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.  
  The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
