Secretary of state of South Dakota, 1973-79. Female. Lutheran. Died September 8, 1994 (age 85 years, 156 days). Interment at Houghton Cemetery, Houghton, S.Dak.

Lawyer; delegate to Democratic National Convention from South Dakota, 2004, 2008; U.S. Representative from South Dakota at-large, 2004-; defeated, 2002, 2010. Female. Lutheran. Still living as of 2010.
