Frederick Hobbes Allen (1858-1937) — also known as Frederick H. Allen — of Pelham Manor, Westchester County, N.Y. Born in Honolulu, Island of Oahu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, May 30, 1858. Democrat. Lawyer; economist; village president of Pelham Manor, New York, 1904-06; chair of Westchester County Democratic Party, 1904-14; delegate to Democratic National Convention from New York, 1908, 1920 (alternate); served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. Episcopalian. Member, Society of Colonial Wars; Sons of the Revolution; American Legion; Military Order of the World Wars. Died, from pneumonia, in Newport Hospital, Newport, Newport County, R.I., December 3, 1937 (age 79 years, 187 days).
