Farmer; school teacher; member of New York state assembly from St. Lawrence County 1st District, 1925-32; delegate to Republican National Convention from New York, 1928 (alternate), 1932; member of New York state senate, 1935-48 (34th District 1935-44, 39th District 1945-48). Female. Member, Daughters of the American Revolution; Order of the Eastern Star. First woman elected to the New York State Senate. Died in Hollywood, Broward County, Fla., January 25, 1950 (age about 72 years). Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, N.Y.

Paul D. Graves (1907-1972) — of Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, N.Y. Born in 1907. Republican. Member of New York state senate 39th District, 1949-53; Justice of New York Supreme Court 4th District, 1958. Died in 1972 (age about 65 years). Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, N.Y.

Member of New York Republican State Committee, 1961. Female. Died in 1997 (age about 78 years). Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, N.Y.
