  Leo Omar Gatewood (1910-1989) — also known as Leo O. Gatewood — of Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colo. Born in St. Louis, Mo., September 20, 1910. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II; chairman, United Labor League for 3rd Congressional District of Colorado; alternate delegate to Democratic National Convention from Colorado, 1948. Catholic. Member, Knights of Columbus. Died May 18, 1989 (age 78 years, 240 days). Interment at Fort Lyon National Cemetery, Fort Lyon, Colo.
  Relatives: Son of John Fred Gatewood and Dorathea P. (Thomas) Gatewood.

  Frank J. Hayes (b. 1882) — of Idaho Springs, Clear Creek County, Colo. Born in Mt. Olive, Macoupin County, Ill., May 4, 1882. Lieutenant Governor of Colorado, 1937-39. Member, United Mine Workers. President of United Mine Workers in 1918; noted orator and poet. Burial location unknown.
  Lloyd Abner Mashburn (1897-1963) — also known as Lloyd A. Mashburn — of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Calif.; Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Md. Born in Greeley, Weld County, Colo., October 10, 1897. Republican. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War I; delegate to Republican National Convention from California, 1944, 1948, 1952; California Commissioner of Labor, 1951-53; U.S. Undersecretary of Labor, 1953-54; president, Wood, Wire, and Metal Lathers International Union, 1954-63. Died, from a heart attack, at the Conrad Hilton Hotel, Chicago, Cook County, Ill., December 7, 1963 (age 66 years, 58 days). Interment at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Calif.

The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 338,260 politicians, living and dead.
 
  The coverage of this site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, members of major federal commissions; and political appointee (pre-1969) postmasters of qualifying communities; (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions; (6) Americans who served as "honorary" consuls for other nations before 1950. Note: municipalities or communities "qualify", for Political Graveyard purposes, if they have at least half a million person-years of history, inclusive of predecessor, successor, and merged entities.
