Banker; secretary of Minnesota Democratic Party, 1937; Minnesota Democratic state chair, 1940-45; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Minnesota, 1944; U.S. Collector of Internal Revenue for Minnesota, 1946-51. Catholic. German ancestry. Member, Elks; Knights of Columbus. Died in Hennepin County, Minn., July 13, 1957 (age 57 years, 132 days). Interment at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery, Chanhassen, Minn.

Died in Chanhassen, Carver County, Minn., March 6, 2004 (age 73 years, 115 days). Interment at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery, Chanhassen, Minn.
