Lawyer; member of Tennessee state legislature, 1850; U.S. Representative from Tennessee 9th District, 1853-57, 1859-61. Died in Dresden, Weakley County, Tenn., October 21, 1902 (age 83 years, 23 days). Interment at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Sharon, Tenn.

		Relatives: Son of Thomas Etheridge (1792-1861) and Elizabeth (Harvey) Etheridge (1792-1875); married, October 17, 1849, to Fanny A. Bell; fourth cousin of Augustus Holly Etheridge (1860-1941).

Augustus Holly Etheridge (1860-1941) — also known as Augustus H. Etheridge — of Manteo, Dare County, N.C. Born in Roanoke Island, Dare County, N.C., July 5, 1860. Democrat. Farmer; Dare County Sheriff, 1899-1906, 1910-12; member of North Carolina state house of representatives from Dare County, 1913-16; lighthouse keeper. Member, Freemasons. Died in Nags Head, Dare County, N.C., March 20, 1941 (age 80 years, 258 days). Interment at Etheridge Cemetery, Roanoke Island, N.C.

		Relatives: Son of Adam Dough Etheridge (1813-1868) and Frances 'Fannie' (Baum) Etheridge (1826-1894); fourth cousin of Henry Emerson Etheridge (1819-1902) and Thomas Edwin Headlee.

Thomas Edwin Headlee (1867-1929) — also known as Thomas E. Headlee; Tom Headlee — of Everett, Snohomish County, Wash. Born in What Cheer, Keokuk County, Iowa, September 1, 1867. Democrat. Lawyer; mayor of Everett, Wash., 1904-06. Died in Seattle, King County, Wash., July 27, 1929 (age 61 years, 329 days). Interment at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Snohomish, Wash.

		Relatives: Son of Ephraim Headlee (1834-1904) and Harriet (Humes) Headlee (1838-1929); married, March 22, 1896, to Mary Foss; fourth cousin of Augustus Holly Etheridge (1860-1941).
