		Relatives: Son of James Pinkney Stowe and Elmira Jane (Kendrick) Stowe; married, October 27, 1909, to Aurelia Hand; nephew of Abram Stowe; second cousin of Flonie Estelle Stowe (who married William McCoy Jefferson).

William McCoy Jefferson (1892-1944) — also known as William M. Jefferson; Jeff Jefferson — of Belmont, Gaston County, N.C. Born in Beaufort County, N.C., February 5, 1892. Democrat. Served in the U.S. Army during World War I; postmaster at Belmont, N.C., 1934-44. Member, American Legion. Died in Belmont, Gaston County, N.C., March 23, 1944 (age 52 years, 47 days). Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont, N.C.

		Relatives: Married to Flonie Estelle Stowe (first cousin once removed of Abram Stowe; second cousin of DeLambert Pinckney Stowe).
