Charles Clark (1810-1877) — of Mississippi. Born February 19, 1810. Democrat. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Mississippi, 1860; general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War; Governor of Mississippi, 1863-65. Physically removed from office by U.S. troops at the end of the Civil War, and imprisoned at Fort Pulaski, Savannah, Ga. Died in Bolivar County, Miss., December 18, 1877. Interment at at a private or family graveyard.
George Thomas Lightfoot (c.1836-1872) — of Bolivar County, Miss. Born in Tennessee. Lawyer; probate judge in Mississippi, 1860-66. Served as special judge in a murder trial; sentenced a man to be hanged; someone aggrieved by the verdict shot and killed him while he was returning home, near Beulah, Bolivar County, Miss., spring of 1872. Interment at at a private or family graveyard.

Lawyer; member of Mississippi state house of representatives, 1916-44; Speaker of the Mississippi State House of Representatives, 1944; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Mississippi, 1916, 1924, 1944, 1948, 1952, 1956. Member, American Bar Association; Delta Psi; Freemasons; Shriners. Died September 24, 1966. Interment at Beulah Cemetery.

Democrat. Lawyer; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Mississippi, 1960; circuit judge in Mississippi 11th District, 1971-78. Sicilian ancestry. Died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tenn., October 28, 1978. Interment at New Cleveland Cemetery.
