Banker; secretary of Minnesota Democratic Party, 1937; Minnesota Democratic state chair, 1940-45; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Minnesota, 1944; U.S. Collector of Internal Revenue for Minnesota, 1946-51. Catholic. German ancestry. Member, Elks; Knights of Columbus. Died in Hennepin County, Minn., July 13, 1957 (age 57 years, 132 days). Interment at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery, Chanhassen, Minn.

		Relatives: Son of Henry L. Kelm and Rose (Geiser) Kelm; married, May 28, 1918, to Loretta C. Weller (1900-1974); father of Thomas Arthur Kelm (1930-2004).
