Merchant; postmaster at Newport, Ark., 1890-91, 1906-13; delegate to Republican National Convention from Arkansas, 1900; banker. Died April 27, 1956 (age 90 years, 233 days). Entombed in mausoleum at Mt. Holly Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark.
  Relatives: Son of James C. Grubbs and Martha (Carter) Grubbs; married, November 27, 1905, to Alma Armour (1879-1942; sister of Belle Armour (1877-?)).
