  Relatives: Son of William Buffington (1787-1858) and Nancy (Scales) Buffington; married, August 8, 1841, to Eliza Jane Stanard (c.1812-1862); married to Louisa Garland (1841-1918); father of Edward Stanard Buffington (1847-1929), Peter Cline Buffington II and Juliette Buffington Enslow (1873-1936; murder victim).

  Relatives: Son of Peter Cline Buffington (1814-1875) and Eliza Jane (Stanard) Buffington; brother of Peter Cline Buffington II; married to Nannie Lyell (1851-1925).

Member of West Virginia state house of delegates from Cabell County, 1911; Cabell County Sheriff, 1913-16. Died in Huntington, Cabell County, W.Va., May 17, 1938 (age about 69 years). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Son of Peter Cline Buffington and Louisa (Garland) Buffington (1841-1918); brother of Edward Stanard Buffington (1847-1929).
