  John Osborn Laidley (1791-1863) — Born in Morgantown, Monongalia County, Va. (now W.Va.), April 28, 1791. Lawyer; delegate to Virginia state constitutional convention, 1829-30; Cabell County Prosecuting Attorney. Died in Cabell County, Va (now W.Va.), 1863 (age about 72 years). Burial location unknown.
  Relatives: Father of Amacetta Laidley (who married George William Summers (1804-1868)) and William Sidney Laidley; grandfather of John B. Laidley.

  George William Summers (1804-1868) — of Kanawha County, Va. (now W.Va.). Born in Virginia, 1804. Lawyer; member of Virginia state legislature, 1840; U.S. Representative from Virginia, 1841-45 (19th District 1841-43, 14th District 1843-45); delegate to Virginia secession convention, 1861. Died in 1868 (age about 64 years). Interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Putnam County, W.Va.
  Relatives: Married, February 7, 1843, to Amacetta Laidley (daughter of John Osborn Laidley (1791-1863); sister of William Sidney Laidley; aunt of John B. Laidley).

  William Sidney Laidley (1839-1917) — also known as William S. Laidley — of Charleston, Kanawha County, W.Va. Born in Cabell County, Va. (now W.Va.), June 27, 1839. Lawyer; historian; member of West Virginia state house of delegates from Kanawha County, 1872-73. Died in 1917 (age about 78 years). Interment at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston, W.Va.
  Relatives: Son of John Osborn Laidley; brother of Amacetta Laidley (who married George William Summers (1804-1868)); uncle of John B. Laidley.

  John B. Laidley — of Cabell County, W.Va. Member of West Virginia state house of delegates from Cabell County, 1885. Burial location unknown.
