Died in Saginaw, Saginaw County, Mich., January 8, 1932 (age 78 years, 64 days). Interment at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Saginaw, Mich.
  Relatives: Son of John S. Fordney (1808-1877) and Achsah (Cotton) Fordney (1813-1870); married, November 23, 1872, to Cathern Harren (1854-1932); grandfather of Amy McGregor Fordney (1919-1992; who married George James Burke, Jr. (1914-1971)).

George J. Burke George James Burke, Sr. (1885-1950) — also known as George J. Burke — of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Mich. Born in Northfield Township, Washtenaw County, Mich., December 5, 1885. Democrat. Lawyer; Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney, 1911-14; law partner of Martin J. Cavanaugh; president, Citizens Mutual Auto Insurance Co.; counsel and director, International Radio Co.; director, Ann Arbor Trust Company, Farmers and Mechanics Bank, Michigan Life Insurance Co.; candidate for Michigan state attorney general, 1916; candidate for Presidential Elector for Michigan, 1920; candidate for justice of Michigan state supreme court, 1926; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Michigan, 1944 (member, Platform and Resolutions Committee); served as a judge in the Nuremburg war crimes trials. Catholic. Member, Knights of Columbus; Elks; Rotary. Died October 3, 1950 (age 64 years, 302 days). Interment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ann Arbor, Mich.

Born in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Mich., October 12, 1914. Democrat. Lawyer; candidate for Michigan state house of representatives from Washtenaw County 1st District, 1950. Catholic. Died in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Mich., October 3, 1971 (age 56 years, 356 days). Interment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ann Arbor, Mich.
  Relatives: Son of George James Burke, Sr. (1885-1950) and Edna (Fritts) Burke; married, July 20, 1940, to Amy Fordney (1919-1992; granddaughter of Joseph Warren Fordney).
