Chambers, 1958-59; lawyer; member, board of directors, St. Joseph Hospital, Tucson, Ariz., 1969-77; U.S. District Judge for Arizona, 1979-96; took senior status 1996. Died in Flagstaff, Coconino County, Ariz., August 11, 1998 (age 67 years, 74 days). Cremated; ashes interred at St. Philips in the Hills Church, Tucson, Ariz.
