Served in the U.S. Army during World War I; U.S. Vice Consul in Guatemala, 1927-29; Rio de Janeiro, 1932. Died, from complications of a ruptured appendix, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, February 8, 1932. Interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
