      Robert Reyburn Butler (1881-1933) — also known as Robert R. Butler — of Condon, Gilliam County, Ore.; The Dalles, Wasco County, Ore. Born in Butler, Johnson County, Tenn., September 24, 1881. Republican. Lawyer; Presidential Elector for Oregon, 1908, 1916; circuit judge in Oregon, 1909-11; member of Oregon state senate, 1913-17, 1925-28; U.S. Representative from Oregon 2nd District, 1928-33; died in office 1933. Member, Freemasons; Odd Fellows; Knights of Pythias; Elks; Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Died of heart disease and pneumonia, at Providence Hospital, Washington, D.C., January 7, 1933 (age 51 years, 105 days). Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
      Relatives: Grandson of Roderick Randum Butler.

      Malcolm Adelbert Moody (1854-1925) — also known as Malcolm A. Moody — of The Dalles, Wasco County, Ore. Born in Linn County, Ore., November 30, 1854. Son of Zenas Ferry Moody. Republican. U.S. Representative from Oregon 2nd District, 1899-1903. Died in Portland, Multnomah County, Ore., March 19, 1925 (age 70 years, 109 days). Interment at Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Justice of Oregon state supreme court, 1862-70; member of Republican National Committee from Oregon, 1872-73; U.S. Representative from Oregon at-large, 1873; died in office 1873. Died in 1873 (age about 47 years). Interment at Pioneer Cemetery.

Interment at St. Peters Cemetery.

    The Political Graveyard

    The Political Graveyard is a web site about U.S. political history and cemeteries. Founded in 1996, it is the Internet's most comprehensive free source for American political biography, listing 234,420 politicians, living and dead.
     
      The coverage of the site includes (1) the President, Vice President, members of Congress, elected state and territorial officeholders in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories; and the chief elected official, typically the mayor, of qualifying municipalities; (2) candidates at election, including primaries, for any of the above; (3) all federal judges and all state appellate judges; (4) certain federal officials, including the federal cabinet, diplomatic chiefs of mission, consuls, U.S. district attorneys, collectors of customs and internal revenue, and members of major federal commissions; and (5) state and national political party officials, including delegates, alternate delegates, and other participants in national party nominating conventions.  
      The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
