Insurance and real estate business; mayor of Paducah, Ky., 1940-44; defeated, 1963; president, Paducah Broadcasting Co., operator of radio station WPAD. Burial location unknown.
Hecht S. Lackey — of Henderson, Henderson County, Ky. Son of Ernest Lackey; brother of Pierce E. Lackey and Frederick Ernest Lackey; uncle of Sherrill Lackey Jeffers; father of Henry G. Lackey. Democrat. Mayor of Henderson, Ky., 1954-62. Burial location unknown.
Frederick Ernest Lackey — also known as Dutch Lackey — of Hopkinsville, Christian County, Ky. Son of Ernest Lackey; brother of Pierce E. Lackey and Hecht S. Lackey; married to Bonnie Bessire; father of Sherrill Lackey Jeffers; uncle of Henry G. Lackey. Democrat. Mayor of Hopkinsville, Ky., 1958-65. The Hopkinsville municipal building is named for him. Burial location unknown.
Sherrill Lackey Jeffers (1938-1997) — also known as Sherry Jeffers — of Hopkinsville, Christian County, Ky. Born in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Ky., June 23, 1938. Granddaughter of Ernest Lackey; niece of Pierce E. Lackey and Hecht S. Lackey; daughter of Bonnie (Bessire) Lackey and Frederick Ernest Lackey; married to Roger Jeffers; first cousin of Henry G. Lackey. Mayor of Hopkinsville, Ky., 1982-86. Female. Died May 9, 1997. Burial location unknown.
Henry G. Lackey — of Henderson, Henderson County, Ky. Grandson of Ernest Lackey; nephew of Pierce E. Lackey and Frederick Ernest Lackey; son of Hecht S. Lackey; first cousin of Sherrill Lackey Jeffers. Democrat. Member of Kentucky state senate 4th District; elected 1981; mayor of Henderson, Ky., 1999-. Still living as of 2004.
