Henry Rhoads (1739-1814) — of Kentucky. Born in 1739. Granduncle of John P. Rhoads; ancestor of John Claggett Danforth. Served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War; member of Kentucky state legislature, 1788-96. Founder of Muhlenberg County, Ky. Died in 1814. Interment at Rhoads Cemetery, Browder, Ky.
John P. Rhoads (1818-1866) — of Sacramento County, Calif. Born in 1818. Grandnephew of Henry Rhoads. Member of California state assembly 16th District, 1863-65. He and his brother Daniel led the rescue effort for the infamous Donner Party. Died in 1866. Interment at Sloughhouse Pioneer Cemetery, Sloughhouse, Calif.
John Claggett Danforth (b. 1936) — also known as John C. Danforth — of Flat, Phelps County, Mo. Born in St. Louis, Mo., September 5, 1936. Descendant of Henry Rhoads. Republican. Missouri state attorney general, 1969-77; U.S. Senator from Missouri, 1976-95; defeated, 1970. Episcopalian. Still living as of 2009.

The coverage of the site includes certain federal officials, state officeholders and candidates in all 50 states, state and national political party officials, federal and state judges, and mayors (including candidates at election for mayor) of qualifying cities.
The listings are incomplete; development of the database is a continually ongoing project.
